Cope-Williams Contemporary Art Centre
‘Immaculate Imagination’ by Neil McLeod
From 23rd April to 30th June
Gordon Cope-Williams and Neil McLeod have collaborated to bring exciting new contemporary and thought-provoking works to this space, with the addition of Neil’s Indigenous and Oceanic art collection providing a truly exceptional contemporary art experience in the Macedon Ranges.
Numerous books and exhibitions over almost four decades have given Neil an enviable curriculum vitae of work and endeavours in many subject areas.
This exhibition features paintings, sculpture, transmography and installations that will excite, astound and make the viewer think.Neil says of his Transmography work: “I try to rewrite photography. I suppose it is an attempt to discover my voice, to do something fresh and unexpected. I have no master to follow for technical assistance so I love to break the trade of tradition.”
Welcome to the Cope-Williams Contemporary Art Centre
In 2016 Gordon and Judy were delighted to bring you the new Contemporary Art Centre, curated by Neil McLeod. This new gallery is dedicated to indigenous and contemporary art and sculpture, and is the largest in the Macedon Ranges.
Open weekends during Cellar Door hours, or by appointment with Gordon & Judy.
Additional gallery spaces alongside the main gallery serve as an exhibition space for many Macedon Ranges artists and artisans, and for gatherings and events.
