Description

An uncommon liqueur showing all the richness of a port with the light fresh-fruits of a young pinot noir. Sweet but not as sweet as most liqueurs.

Possibly the only Australian example of this very uncommon liqueur. Fortified Pinot Noir and Chardonnay aged for a minimum of 10 years to create all those pleasing rich tones so well known in fortified wines with a vibrancy like no other.

This is the perfect summer liqueur and is brilliant when served chilled on a Summer’s afternoon. Despite it’s extensive ageing and maturation, Romsey Willow maintains all of the fresh berries and black cherry one would expect in a cool-climate Pinot Noir with the richness of body that is unmistakable Chardonnay.

When served at room temperature a strong brandy nose aids the palate in perceiving the oak influence, bringing vanilla, clove and cinnamon characteristics that should please any whisky drinker. Perfect for those who find port and tawny too sweet and sticky.
