What is Budburst?
The Budburst Festival is the annual food and wine festival for the Macedon Ranges region of Victoria, Australia. Unlike other similar festivals which focus on a town or locate themselves in a festival hall, Budburst takes you direct to the producers themselves.
Less than an hour from Melbourne’s CBD the Macedon Ranges are home to the best sparkling wine in the country, Victoria’s first serious truffle farm, some incredible cheese makers and charcuterie specialists. Not to mention the hot mineral springs of Hepburn and Daylesford.
At Cope-Williams Winery we’ll be hosting food trucks, unveiling the huge new arts centre as well as running an open-house on some of the new accomodation. There’s also two secret announcements that will change the nature of food and wine in the Macedon Ranges, especially for out little town of Romsey. The cricket oval will also be all set up for anyone wanting a hit.
If you’d like to book a room at a special rate for the weekend we have a special discounted rate if you book before November 1st. Just click on the button at the bottom of the page to book and the discount will be automatically applied.
If you can’t book to stay over the weekend then there are plenty of options for day trips from Melbourne or places to stay nearby.
You can purchase bus tickets for the festival from the Budburst website or just download an itinerary, book a room at one of the wineries or hotels and have a lazy weekend touring one of Australia’s true gourmet regions.
